Our partnerships

Partnerships supporting our communities
At Morgans, one of our key goals is to have an enduring positive impact in our communities. Our network takes pride in sponsoring hundreds of local events and community groups each year. We are especially proud of several key initiatives established in collaboration with our partners, including the National Emerging Art Prize for emerging artists and our Big Dry Friday appeal in support of rural and regional Australia. Our annual Big Dry Friday
A day to connect city and country, providing support where it's needed most. The concept is simple, on a Friday, once a year, city people forgo (or match) what they might spend on a nice lunch or drinks and donate it to the cause.
The aim is to create long-term benefits by supporting charities focused on education, mental wellbeing, healthcare and those suffering financial hardship through natural disasters.

National Emerging Art Prize
Founded in 2021 by Michael Reid Galleries and Morgans, the National Emerging Art Prize exists to not only offer a robust and highly-visible platform to showcase artists in the emerging stages of their career, but also to provide the winners and runners up with a significant cash prize, mentoring and media exposure to further support their practice, and to provide a pathway to a long-term art career and representation.

Melbourne Art Fair 2025
Australasia’s progressive forum for contemporary art and ideas, will present new and iconic artists from 60 of the region’s leading galleries and Indigenous art centres, with a focus on solo shows and works of scale and significance.
The William Mora Indigenous Art Centre Program (WMIACP), supported by Morgans, provides a fully funded exhibition package for Indigenous-owned art centres to participate in Melbourne Art Fair. It aims to promote and provide curatorial and commercial opportunities for Indigenous artists working on Country and in communities across Australia. The 2025 Fair welcomes the return of Moa Arts (Mua Lag/Moa Island), Munupi Arts & Crafts Association (Pirlangimpi/Garden Point), Papunya Tjupi Arts (Papunya) and Wik & Kugu Arts Centre (Aurukun).
