The Morgans Foundation works with local Morgans branches to support their communities and raise funds for charities that are changing Australian lives.

Since the Foundation was established in 2005 and the core assets of the Foundation have grown to approximately $17 million. Since its inception, the Foundation has donated over $16.5 million to Australian charities (as at August 2023).

In 2018, we launched Big Dry Friday which is a day to recognise the importance of rural and regional Australia, to connect city and country and to provide support where it's needed most. The concept is simple...on a Friday, once a year, city people forgo (or match) what they might spend on a nice lunch or drinks and donate it to support rural Australia.

Over the past six years we have raised more than $6 million with the help of regionally-focused businesses and their staff and clients across Australia and distributed these funds to rural charities assisting with education, mental health and financial hardship due to natural disasters.

Named the inaugural QCF Corporate Philanthropist of the Year in 2011, the Morgans Foundation supports charities that reflect the wide-ranging community support and local interests of our Australia-wide network of offices, staff and clients.

The Foundation matches any branch donation up to $5,000 per year enabling donations up to $10,000 per annum to charities of their choice. Many of our staff utilise the employee giving initiative, where Morgans will match donations up to $500 per employee per annum to registered charities.

Due to staff involvement we have a core group of charities around Australia where we have committed on a 'best endeavours' basis to support them over a number of years to enable them to extend or improve a service they identify.

Major beneficiaries

As well as branch-nominated local charities, we commit to these charities on an ongoing basis so they can maintain programs and plan new ones:

We also have a further 50 beneficiaries that are designated gift recipients.
