Coca-Cola Amatil executive steps down
The head of Coca-Cola Amatil's Australian beverage business, Peter McLoughlin, is stepping down to take extended sick leave.
Managing director Alison Watkins says it is important that Mr McLoughlin, who overseas the company's range of soft drinks, bottled water, juice and energy drinks in Australia, puts his health and family first.
"I want to recognise the huge contribution Peter has made to Coca-Cola Amatil, and the great affection and respect we have for him," she said.
Peter West, who is currently managing director of dairy and drinks at Lion, will take over as Coca-Cola Amatil's managing director of Australian beverages on April 30, and chief financial officer Martyn Roberts will fill the position in the interim.
Paul Cooke, Coca-Cola Amatil's general manager financial planning and control, will take on the responsibility as interim group chief financial officer.
The beverage giant's shares were up 1.5 per cent to $8.425 at 1220 AEDT.
