Little Dry Friday

Thank you

We would like to send out a huge thank you to all Morgans clients, business partners, branches and staff who contributed to our Little Dry Friday fundraiser this year.

Together, we raised over $370,000 for rural and regional Australians in need.

A very special thanks goes to The Goldburg Family Foundation for their donation of $50,000 and the Morgans Foundation for generously contributing $250,000.

Our charity partner Rural Aid will distribute the proceeds via pre-paid Visa debit cards to country families suffering financial hardship.

Little Dry Friday

Little Dry Friday was held on 27 November 2020. It was the small and mighty cousin of Big Dry Friday – a campaign that aims to create awareness of our friends in regional and rural Australia, many of whom continue to suffer financial hardship due to adverse weather conditions, including drought, floods and fires.

Our 2020 fundraiser sought to continue the efforts of the previous two years, in which the campaign raised a combined total of more than $2 million.

We invited all Australians to donate an amount you would spend on a few Friday drinks, a meal, or a sporting match for example.

Big Dry Friday 2019

Nearly 2400 farmers and their families received a $500 gift card thanks to the $1.3 million raised on Big Dry Friday in 2019. Institutional Adviser Lisa Shand presented the donation to Wayne Thomson, General Manager of Rural Aid, on Channel 9's Hay Mate Bush Christmas Appeal last year.
