How we are supporting you during COVID-19

As many of us deal with the growing challenges of the Coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak, our focus and commitment remains the same: to support our clients in any way we can.

We know this is an extremely difficult time for many of our clients and we want you to know that we’re here to help.

Morgans has adapted its working arrangements across all offices and many of our staff are now working remotely so that we can continue to operate as normal during this world-changing event.

Our advisers are fully prepared to ensure that they are accessible to clients during this period. The service we provide to you will not be compromised to the best of our ability despite the obvious challenges right now. 

We will also continue to provide you with research and market updates from our research analysts, so you can stay in touch with events as they unfold.

How is Morgans responding?

Morgans is closely monitoring the situation and taking advice from the World Health Organisation (WHO), the Australian Government and health authorities.

Our priority is the health and well-being of our employees and our clients.

Morgans is still open for business, however we have equipped our staff with the ability to work from home to assist in slowing the spread of the virus, whilst continuing to provide ongoing services to our valued clients.

Keeping in touch during the coming weeks

During these times, advisers and clients are still encouraged to stay in constant communication. Following the WHO advice, we recommend the use of the following alternative methods over physical meetings and visits to Morgans’ offices:

  • All advisers and support staff will continue to be available via phone and email during normal business hours.
  • Video conference platforms are available to conduct face-to-face meetings for visual discussion.

If a physical meeting is unavoidable we request that the attendees disclose:

  • If they have travelled overseas
  • If they have experienced any symptoms connected to the virus
  • Been in contact with anyone diagnosed or suspected of having COVID-19

Given the speed with which this situation is evolving (as evidenced by the large number of listed companies withdrawing earnings guidance), earnings/dividend forecasts for all Morgans stocks under coverage cannot be relied upon currently.
