Andy has been working in IT line management and consulting roles across Europe, Asia and Australia for 30 years. His experience includes managing large transformation programs, establishing shares services and innovation centres and improvement in large scale M&A initiatives.
Andy started in the UK, where he spent 8 years in a number of operations, project and line management roles for EDS, taking care of key marketing and operational systems for GM Europe. In 1996 he moved to Australia and joined the management consulting arm of Coopers & Lybrand where he focused on IT strategy, web technologies and ERP implementation in Australia and the UK over a 10 year period. During this time, Coopers & Lybrand merged with Price Waterhouse to become PwC Consulting. Subsequently, PwCC was acquired by IBM.
In 2006 Andy moved with IBM to China, where he took a role as Project Director for an SAP and Finance, HR and IT shared service implementation for ABB China. On successful completion of the program, Andy joined ABB and spent 3 years as CIO for North Asia region. In 2010 he moved to Zurich to take a Global Division CIO role for ABB's Discrete Automation and Motion Division for 2 years. The following 6 years were spent as Group CIO for ABB, where he initiated and led significant changes in front end systems, collaboration tools and delivery improvement through design and implementation of a global IT operating model.
