Morgans is Australia's largest national full-service stockbroking and wealth management network with more than 240,000 client accounts, 500 authorised representatives and 950 employees operating from offices in all states and territories.

We have been helping Australian investors with stockbroking services since 1982.

Stockbroking and Financial Planning

Whilst we started as a stockbroking firm, we now cover all aspects of financial advice, including financial planning and wealth management. We can provide you with personalised investment advice and services designed to build your wealth and create financial security.

Research

Morgans has an award-winning research team comprising over 25 analysts across Economics, Strategy, Equities and Fixed Interest. The team is highly experienced and covers a full range of sectors across the market.

Corporate Finance

Our corporate finance specialists, based in Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne and Perth, provide a range of services including equity raisings, underwriting of equity issues and corporate advisory services.

Fixed Interest

Our Fixed Interest team based in Brisbane has extensive experience in the ASX listed bond, hybrid and debt capital market. Morgans has been a Lead Arranger in recent Initial Public Offers for Listed Investment Trusts specialising in credit and fixed income assets. We also provide corporate money market and treasury services to clients.

Institutional Equities

We have a specialist small and mid cap institutional sales team with direct access to all of Australia's leading fund managers.

History

Morgans was founded by Paul Morgan on 1 October 1982. In 2000, ABN AMRO Australia's retail stockbroking operations were merged with Morgans Stockbroking and it acquired 50% of the renamed ABN AMRO Morgans.

ABN AMRO's holding was acquired in a takeover of the group by the Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS) in 2007. The changeover to the Morgans brand was completed in 2009 with RBS holding 50% and Morgans management & staff holding 50% of the group.

In 2013, Morgans management bought the remaining 50% from RBS, and in May 2013 partnered with a leading Asia Pacific investment bank, CIMB Securities International (Australia) Pty Ltd.

We continue to expand our national network of offices throughout Australia to meet our corporate goal of providing professional, effective and timely advice to all clients.
