For over 135 years, The Girls & Boys Brigade has provided a welcoming place for children and youth who need a helping hand. They are dedicated to providing quality education, recreation, life skills activities and a holistic family support service. Their consistent and practical approach helps strengthen families and the enrolled children and youth become better equipped to deal positively with life's challenges.
KYDS
KYDS help young people understand, and manage, difficult issues in their lives. They do this by providing easily accessed, personalised counselling and mental health support services, family counselling, and early intervention well-being workshops and information events.
KYDS ensure issues such as grief, loss, family break ups, friendship problems, school and study stress, addictions, risky behaviour, anger, bullying, anxiety, depression, alcohol and drug use, body image concerns, mental health concerns, self harm and suicidal thoughts do not overwhelm young people.
Inner City Legal Centre Foundation (ICLC Foundation)
The ICLC Foundation is a charitable trust established in 2012 to support the Inner City Legal Centre (ICLC). The purpose of the foundation is to fund the work of the ICLC, in particular additional projects connected with the provision of legal services and access to justice, with a particular focus on LGBTI support, where the ICLC does not have the resources to pursue those projects itself.
Australian Stockbrokers Foundation
Morgans Chatswood is proud to be a part of the not-for-profit Australia Stockbrokers Foundation. Investment manager Danny Dreyfus is the Founding Director.
Since its inception the Australian Stockbrokers Foundation has raised over $7 million dollars from the stockbroking community, to distribute to the homeless, the mistreated, the intellectually challenged, the physically handicapped, the sick and the poor, who, often through no fault of their own, struggle to achieve the things we take for granted. There is an emphasis towards assisting childrens' causes, and especially where we can make a difference.
The Australian Stockbrokers Foundation support all of the following charities:
Annual Stockbroker Awards Charity Dinner
The Annual Stockbrokers Awards Charity dinner is held towards the end of the financial year, where over five hundred people from stockbroking houses and investment banks open their hearts (and their wallets) for those less fortunate than themselves, and to acknowledge the achievements of the past year.
